Preventing & Treating Silver Tarnish

Silver tarnish is not rust or permanent damage. It is a natural surface reaction (sulfidation) when silver comes into contact with airborne sulfur compounds, sweat, or thermal springs. A thin tarnish film can easily be reversed to its lustrous white-silver glow.
Daily Gentle Wipe
After each wear, gently wipe down your silver with a soft cotton cloth or jewelry polishing cloth to remove perspiration and skin oils. This simple habit keeps your silver bright.
Baking Soda & Warm Water Refresh
Line a heat-resistant bowl with aluminum foil, place the silver jewelry on it, sprinkle 1-2 teaspoons of baking soda, and pour boiling water. Within minutes, the natural tarnish reverses. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
Airtight Storage
Silver tarnishes through natural exposure to trace sulfur in air. When not wearing your pieces for extended periods, store them in airtight zip-pouches away from direct humidity.
Washing & Storing Hand-crocheted Bags

Fill a basin with lukewarm water and a small amount of neutral or delicate-garment detergent. Submerge the crochet bag and press gently with your hands—avoid aggressive rubbing.
Absorb Moisture with a Clean Towel

Reshape and Dry Flat in Shade
